MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the engineering and design department;
  • Collaborate in the development of digital cutting files and manufacturing plans (creation of RFQ documents);
  • Create and modify 3D and 2D drawings based on engineering changes (SolidWorks / CREO);
  • Assist in producing 2D and 3D drawings for external support (clients, architects, and designers);
  • Create explanatory images from 3D modeling (installation manuals, method documents) and other training materials;
  • Keep files, installation manuals, and various working documents up to date (according to engineering changes, continuous improvement, and standards);
  • Prepare production and validation files for custom products based on specifications provided by clients;
  • Produce custom frame drawings (or other custom products) for orders and ensure compliance;
  • Participate in integrating our fireplaces into construction plans and in creating standard documents to facilitate this integration (DraftSight / SketchUp);
  • Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in industrial drafting or equivalent (DEC is an asset);
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French;
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English (intermediate level) for occasional communication with suppliers and for research and reading of standards outside Quebec;
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing and construction drawings;
  • Proficiency in 3D and 2D drafting software;
  • Strong mechanical understanding and 3D visualization skills;
  • Attention to detail and precision in work;
  • Interest in contemporary design and architecture;
  • Knowledge of CREO, Composer, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or DraftSight (an asset);
  • Knowledge and interest in interior design and/or showroom layout (an asset);
  • Knowledge of architectural drafting (an asset).
