Stûv America is the North American subsidiary of Stûv SA, a Belgian company renowned for designing and manufacturing premium stoves and fireplaces. Founded in 1983, Stûv SA employs more than 120 people and produces over 15,000 units per year, distributed around the world.

For nearly 20 years, Stûv America has been passionate about growing the Stûv brand across North America. We are a close-knit, ambitious team driven by the desire to build something great. We are looking for an HR Strategy Manager to support our growth and contribute to the company’s development.

This advisory role is essential to the organization’s managers. Through healthy, fair, and consistent management practices, this person actively contributes to creating a work environment where everyone feels respected, engaged, and proud to be part of a team that grows together. This role also oversees the day-to-day management of all activities related to the employee experience, in order to support a strong, human, and sustainable workplace culture.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sit on the executive committee and align HR strategies with business objectives and growth;
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and managers on organizational issues, performance, engagement, and labour relations;
  • Act as a compelling ambassador for the structured and structured management approach tied to hypergrowth;
  • Define and implement HR strategies to support operations, organizational development, and change management;
  • Prepare and manage the HR department budget;
  • Facilitate various committees and coordinate their activities, including the employee committee and the OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) committee;
  • Define recruitment strategies and coordinate the full staffing process, including workforce planning;
  • Help build and promote an organizational culture and employer brand rooted in the company’s values;
  • Enhance the employee experience by focusing on onboarding, recognition, and talent retention;
  • Deploy initiatives that promote a balance between performance and workplace well-being;
  • Implement skills development programs to support employee growth;
  • Structure and optimize performance evaluations in line with organizational objectives;
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations management, compensation and benefits, OHS prevention and case management, as well as legal and regulatory compliance;
  • Support the company’s evolution by implementing agile and adaptive HR practices.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent;
  • Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec (an asset);
  • 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in high-growth environments;
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Experience in strategic planning and organizational development;
  • Leadership: Ability to mobilize and positively influence teams and managers;
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and a talent for building trusted relationships;
  • Results-oriented: Strong ability to align HR strategies with business objectives;
  • Project management: Autonomy, organization, and ability to manage multiple complex files simultaneously;
  • Agility and adaptability: Ability to thrive in a changing environment and respond to the evolving needs of the business;
  • Creativity: An innovative mindset for proposing solutions tailored to organizational challenges.

Contract Information

  • Salary to be discussed, based on experience;
  • On-site position at 34 boul. de l’Aéroport, Bromont;
  • An annual health & wellness budget of $500 for health, fitness, and well-being expenses: optometrist fees, sports equipment, massage therapy, cooking classes, transit costs, gym memberships, etc. — we want you to treat yourself;
  • A group RRSP;
  • A 4-day work week schedule during the month of July;
  • Two weeks of vacation in the summer (the second week of the construction holiday period and the following week);
