Bromont (Quebec), October 28, 2024 − Stûv America, a leading manufacturer of wood stoves and fireplaces, unveiled its cutting-edge welding robot today, a pivotal advancement in automation aimed at significantly boosting production capacity.
With the introduction of this welding robot, Stûv America anticipates a substantial boost in productivity, enabling the company to meet current demand and keep pace with the growth of its distribution network, explains Vincent Boudreau, the company’s president.
“We have a talented production team, and the new welding robot will support their efforts, enabling us to meet the increasing demand for our products across Canada and the United States,” he says.
The acquisition of the welding robot, representing a $350,000 investment bolstered by financial assistance from Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, underscores our commitment to growth and innovation.

“This investment marks the beginning of a series of interconnected production equipment aimed at evolving within Industry 4.0,” says Mr. Boudreau. “This year we have also invested in implementing the SAP S/4HANA ERP system, giving us the agility needed to support our growth ambitions.”
The welding robot was developed by Automatech Robotik, a company based in Saint-Appolinaire. “It was important for us to collaborate with a local business, reflecting our commitment to supporting the Quebec economy,” says Vincent Boudreau.
Custom-designed, the robot will weld all combustion chambers, ensuring consistent product quality. This will also allow our welders to focus on more complex assemblies requiring attention and precision.
