Position Summary
In a stimulating work environment, the Mechanical Designer will play a key role in the design and innovation of our products. Through precise execution, they will contribute to the production of high-end appliances known for their quality standards. Leveraging their experience, the successful candidate will help achieve operational and promotional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of technical specifications
- Define complete solutions, including methods and required components
- Design and/or adapt subassemblies and components according to specifications (cost, design, mechanical constraints, etc.)
- Support the Design and Production teams during the industrialization phase (process documentation, assembly drawings, internal training, tools, jigs, etc.)
- Analyze technical feasibility and carry out continuous improvement projects (products, assembly fixtures, workstation ergonomics, etc.)
- Create 3D models and technical drawings, and prepare production files for external suppliers
- Monitor project progress with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare internal manufacturing documentation and support Production for prototypes, initial runs, jigs, and tooling
- Optimize costs of proposed solutions
- Provide technical support to production, customer service, and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Technical Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role (product design and development)
- Knowledge of steel and manufacturing processes (sheet metal experience is an asset)
- Proficiency with CAD software, including SolidWorks or Creo
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written, intermediate level)
- High level of autonomy
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills, efficiency, and speed of execution
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
